Presentation of the Regional Hospital of Bertoua

Presentation 

The Bertoua regional hospital is a 3rd category hospital and 2nd reference in our health pyramid, located in the Eastern region, in its current site is the result of Cameroon-Italy cooperation in 1992. It is built on an area of about 3 hectares. It is located almost in the center of the city of Bertoua which is the capital of the region of East Cameroon.

This health facility has 15 buildings that house the various services, the capacity is 233 beds.

Eastern Region

he Eastern Region is one of the ten regions of Cameroon2, located in the south-east of the country. Its chief town is Bertoua. The majority of its territory is covered with equatorial forest. It is bordered by the southern regions of Adamaoua and the Center.

The region is located in the south-east of the country, bordering three prefectures of the Central African Republic and a department of the Republic of Congo.

The region is divided into four departments 3, comprising 1 urban community, 2 borough communes and 31 communes over an area covering 109 000 km2 and housing more than 777 755 inhabitants.
